Shooting of Travis Parker

On Saturday August 4th, 2012 Sheriff Cole and his Deputies, a Seymour Police Officer and a Rogersville Police Officer responded to a shots fired call in the Diggins, Mo (A place in Webster County).

There investigators learned of a shooting in which it is alleged that, Joel D Cook of Diggins, Mo. shot Travis Parker of Fordland, Mo in the face with a 22 pistol.  Today August 7th, 2012 Travis Parker passed away as a result of his injuries and was declared dead by a Doctor at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Mr. Cook was arrested on the date of the shooting and charged with Assault in the 1st Degree. At this time the charges against Cook will be changed as a result of Parkers death. 

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office will be available for comment.
