Bradley Southard Apprehended

On Sunday morning at around 0200, we were called to a disturbance at a residence outside of Marshfield. Deputies observed a stolen vehicle parked out front. Deputies were informed the suspect of the stolen vehicle was inside the residence.
Deputies went to contact the suspect and a scuffle ensued inside while trying to apprehend the suspect. He was able to exit the residence and get away.
On Wednesday at around 0830, a deputy observed the suspect driving a vehicle. A short pursuit occurred inside the city of Marshfield and the suspect was able to evade the deputy.
At around 1030 on Wednesday, we received a call regarding the suspect's whereabouts in the City of Niangua area. Deputies located the suspect vehicle and a brief pursuit started. The suspect bailed out of the vehicle in Niangua and a foot pursuit started. A perimeter was set up and the suspect was able to steal a truck from a residence which initiated another vehicle pursuit. This pursuit went from Niangua and ended after the truck slammed into a guardrail at the intersection of Brinkley Rd and Plank School Road. The suspect then fled the vehicle and another foot pursuit was initiated.
A perimeter was set up and we requested assistance from MSHP for a plane and K9's from Laclede County to assist deputies with locating the suspect in a heavily wooded area off Brinkley Road.
Deputies were unable to locate the suspect during this search and the search ended at around 1700.
Deputies then received information the suspect was inside a residence in Marshfield. Deputies went to the location and apprehended the suspect without incident. The suspect was hiding in the shower.
The suspect is Bradley Southard and he was wanted for a parole violation along with tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. Southard is also facing additional charges as the investigation continues.
At no time during this search was there a danger to the community.

Search for Missing 16 Year Old Male

  All Webster County Sheriffs Office Personnel along with Marshfield Fire Department and Strafford Fire Department are looking for a 16-year-old white male who left within the last few hours from a residence in the Strafford area. The boy has left messages with his Grandparents and his girlfriend that he was going to take his own life. The boy is believed to be in the area of 1100 Holman Road. He was last seen wearing a Camo Jacket and Black Pants. He has dark hair and dark eyes with a slim build. Please call 911 if you see anyone matching this description in this area.

News Release on Brent Grey

On January 8, 2018 the Webster County Sheriffs Office was notified of an investigation conducted by Missouri State Highway Patrol into one of its deputies, Brent Grey.  As a result, the Sheriffs’ office was made aware of allegations of unlawful behavior in which the Missouri State Highway Patrol communicated that probable cause existed for an arrest and warrant for Brent Grey.  Brent Grey’s employment has been terminated as a result of the allegations.  See the Missouri Highway Patrol report for details.  At this time Brent Grey has been charged with Statutory Sodomy and being housed in Texas County Jail.   The Sheriffs’ Office will be available for the next hour for any questions.

Webster County Detectives Arrest Two Suspects Involved with Multiple Stolen Vehicles

Webster County Detectives received information about stolen cars at a location in Webster County. During the investigation, detectives went to a property located at 3590 Hwy Y in Conway. There they located 5 stolen vehicles. A search warrant was received and a surveillance operation of the property was started. After many days and some long nights, Deputies were able to take two people into custody on 12-15-17 after they arrived at the property in yet, another stolen vehicle.

Joshua Lee Compton and Jennifer Nicole Wiseman both of Springfield were arrested without incident. Also located were 5 illegal firearms and a sizable amount of methamphetamine.

Joshua Lee Compton was charged with 6 counts of receiving stolen property, 5 counts of being in possession of illegal firearms and possession of methamphetamine. Compton also had a felony warrant out of Christian County.

Jennifer Nicole Wiseman was charged with 1 count of possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Webster County deputies worked in conjunction with Springfield Police Department and Tulsa Police Department in reference to this case. The investigation continues at this time and more arrests are anticipated.

Webster County Sheriff's Office Updates Text Alert System on Website

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office will upgrade its text message alert notification feature on October 3rd to supplement an upgrade completed earlier this summer. The upgraded text alert system will feature a short URL in the message body, instead of a full URL. The messages will continue to come from 96167 or 470-219-3777. Below is an example of a current alert with a full URL and a sample of the same alert with a short URL:

As shown above, the message body will have a Subject line (the Message from the Sheriff title, in the above example) and a From address of Webster Sheriff MO. There will still be an option to change subscription at the bottom of the message.

RE: 5th Suspect in Murder Identified - Yovanny Aroldo - Still on the run, considered Armed and Dangerous

DOB: 7/18/1994

Hispanic Male

Short Brown Hair

 

Yovanny is a Mexican National and is considered armed and dangerous.  Last known sighting of Yovanny was in Lawrence County around the residences of  209XX Lawrence County Road 2024 around 1230pm on 4/26/16.  Yovanny was wearing dark colored shirt and pants.  Yovanny was involved in a Murder in Webster County on 4/25/16 around 1am.  Yovanny then fled the scene and was later seen by Rogersville Police Department where a pursuit was initiated and traveled through Webster, Greene and Lawrence Counties.  Officer used spike strips and disabled the vehicle.  Yovanny was able to flee the scene on foot.  One female in the car was arrested and taken to the Webster County Jail in Marshfield.
